Retail Data Platform

Architecture and technology

Layered architecture

Landing (staging)

A raw, traceable copy of each source, to audit and reprocess without touching the ERP again.

Canonical retail ODS

Integrates, cleanses, and applies the business rules, decoupled from the ERP.

Star-schema data mart

Optimized for analysis, with columnar storage.

Certified semantic model

The layer of official KPIs that every tool consumes.

Two deployment options, one architecture

In both, orchestration, monitoring, and the certified semantic model run on Microsoft Fabric. Same layers, same standards, and the same semantic model: you can start hybrid and move to the cloud without rebuilding.

Hybrid

The analytical database lives on your servers, on SQL Server, and connects to Microsoft Fabric over an outbound, encrypted connection, without opening your ERP to the internet. Ideal if you already have infrastructure and want control.

Cloud

The analytical database lives in Azure SQL, within your own Azure subscription, in the region that fits your data residency policies.

Reference stack

SQL Server / Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory), Power BI, and Microsoft Entra ID. The layered architecture is vendor-independent.

Standards from day one

Naming conventions and a canonical model, complete documentation of every process ("white box"), and no dependence on specific individuals.

ILEA architecture

Designed with ILEA (Intelligent & Lean Enterprise Architecture), a modern, AI-centered enterprise architecture model. Its seven domains (business, agents, applications, integration, data, platform, and security) are resolved from the start: your platform is governed from day one and ready for AI agents.
