for your suppliers and store managers: they sign in with the email they already use.

What is retana

One application to use and operate your retail data

retana brings the analytics from your data platform and Power BI semantic model to your entire organization at an affordable cost. In one application, your team views its metrics, configures analytics, monitors data processes and manages users and access.

Your Power BI analytics, for everyone.

The dashboards and metrics for sales, margins, inventory, shrinkage, stockouts and more that you already have in Power BI come to retana with the same rules and the same figures. Nothing to rebuild or relearn.

Analytics configuration

Your team enters mapping tables and the parameters that drive your metrics directly, with validation and history. No spreadsheets sent by email or manual uploads.

Azure Fabric platform operations

Which data processes ran, which failed and when information was last updated, without opening technical portals. You can also run manual processes from retana.

Goals and Performance

Align every team with measurable results: stores with their sales targets, supply chain teams with reducing stockouts and excess inventory, and commercial teams with improving gross margins. Set goals with historical data and actual results in view, monitor progress daily and identify where to act. Less manual comparison in Excel and greater clarity on which teams are meeting their goals, where results fall short and which decisions to prioritize.

Governance and Security

People, roles and access by store or supplier, with an audit log of who did what and when. Each client has its own retana subdomain and SSL certificate. Roles limit information to what each person needs: store managers see only their store, and suppliers see only their brands.

Data Sovereignty

Your data stays in the country where your company operates: Mexican clients use retana on Microsoft Azure in Querétaro (MXC), and US clients use Azure South Central US (SCUS). This location supports your data residency policies and reduces latency by bringing the platform closer to your users. More control over your information and a more responsive experience for your team.

Answers to decide, in the moment

Coming soon: An AI assistant tailored to your organization's context to answer complex business questions in natural language; for example: “Which stores are below target, and which departments explain the shortfall?” Get answers using the same rules and figures as your dashboards, without waiting for someone to prepare an analysis.

Why retana

What makes it different

  1. Open information to stores and suppliers, with control

They sign in with their own email and a one-time code. Each person sees only their scope: managers see their store; suppliers see their brands, without margins. Built for collaboration on sales and replenishment.

  2. Instant answers

A modern analytics engine responds in fractions of a second, without adding load to your systems or requiring additional capacity.

  3. Your data stays yours

retana uses your data platform as its source of information and prepares the data needed for responsive queries, without connecting directly to your internal servers. Your company retains control of its platform and data.

  4. Everything in one place

Analytics, configuration, operations and access in one application, with one sign-in and one version of the truth.

  5. An experience people actually use

A home view for each role, in Spanish, with your company's address, logo and colors, on desktop or mobile.

retana vs. Power BI and Tableau

Broader access to your information, at a lower cost

Power BI or Tableau Creator remain your analysts' tools for creating dashboards and metrics. retana makes that information accessible to the rest of your organization and your suppliers, at a lower per-user price than the viewer licenses compared here, with operational features included.

Frequently asked questions

Does it replace Power BI?

No. Your analysts who create dashboards and metrics continue using Power BI; retana brings the same information to people who view it or act on it, inside and outside your company.

What do I need to install?

Nothing. It runs in the browser, on the data platform Bakabia builds for your company.

What happens to my data?

Your platform remains yours. Information that retana needs outside your environment is encrypted, accessible only to the application and deleted if you leave the service.

Can I give my stores and suppliers access without sharing all my information?

Yes. retana lets you define role-based access: each store views its own results, and each supplier, its brands. Your team stays in control of who can see which information.

How does retana help turn metrics into results?

Set goals for each business area and monitor daily progress: store sales, fewer stockouts and less excess inventory, and improved gross margin. With historical data and actual results in view, your team can spot deviations and prioritize where to act, without manual comparisons in Excel.
